Recap of the year 2014

It was very exciting year and looking back brings lot of good memories to mind.
Lots of fun, travelling, family and friends, weddings and London actually had amazing weather this summer so that makes a difference.

After the new year, it’s always nice to get away somewhere so we had a nice long weekend planned in amsterdam with some friends and also visiting friends there. Always loved Holland but this time managed to spend bit more time in Amsterdam and see the city bit more. Lots of Canals, bikes and narrow houses. Love it!

In April we went Harrogate and surrounding villages. It's always nice to get away from busy London, we  rented a nice apartment and had a nice few days exploring the area.

Highlight of the year was trip to Borneo and Thailand. Kind of our second honeymoon.
But also we had friends wedding in Thailand which was so amazing and perfect way to combine to our holiday. Borneo was amazing, not very touristy at all. We did hike up to mount Kinabalu, but couldn’t do the summit trek. Which was probably fine as we started to have bit of altitude sickness at the point where we turned back down. Went to Sepilok orang-utan rehabilitation centre where we saw some very cute orang-utans.
After a week in Borneo, we still had a 6 days in Thailand, Koh Samui.
Can’t go wrong with Thailand, beaches are amazing, great food and so relaxing.

For a week in july we went to Finland. Great to catch up with family and friends. Also had a wedding shoot there for a friend getting married. That was great experience and good fun. Will post more about the weddings on my next entry.

For my birthday my wife took me up to the Shard. Great view of London with a glass of bubbles, what a great present.

With a group of friends we hired a cottage in north Wales in october. Again we were so lucky with the weather as it can be bit bleak up there in october. Really lovely hike in a sun up to snowdonia. Amazing landscape, it’s such a beautiful part of UK. Great weekend all together.

Last thing in november was a mini getaway to Brighton, it was lovely to get to the seaside.

Amazing year and looking forward to see what the next one will bring along.

Honeymoon part 1 and part 2.

Finally, getting some of the honeymoon photos up here.
It's been too long especially from the Sorrento trip right after the wedding.
But hey, it's nice to go through the photos now and remember all the good times and nice places we visited.
So yes our official honeymoon was in Italy, Sorrento but we went on a long trip end of may which we planned as a second honeymoon. (see how many we can squeeze in) That was to Borneo, Kota Kinabalu and Thailand, Koh Samui.

Time flies when you're having fun...

Hello all!

Can’t believe it’s almost a year since my last post. Must do better this year for sure.
There was lots of happening last year which took my time from writing here.
Got married in august, so the planning was taking over our lives long before that.
Amazing few days and well worth of all the planning and stressing out.
We were really lucky to find our wedding photographer Margaret Soraya. She did amazing job and we were extremely happy with the photos. If you need a photographer up near Inverness, I can highly recommend her. (http://www.sorayaphoto.com/blog/)

We went on to our honeymoon in Italy straight after the wedding, only for a week unfortunately, but had a really amazing time though.

So yes didn’t have as much time for photography as I wanted, but lot’s of other interesting things were also happening.

Did a fun photoshoot for friend who was doing a boot camp style fitness class.
It had been raining all night before, but luckily the sun started to shine as we were heading there.
Needless to say it was very muddy for the guys.

I did lots of our stationery for the wedding. invitations, name tags, seating maps…

Had a great freelance project of designing a logo for a friends business.
Check out the website (and great new logo) for the fabulous Moran Brothers.

Looking forward to everything thats planned up for this year, shooting a wedding this summer in Finland, exciting new places to travel too and few other interesting graphic design projects brewing up in my head too. We’ll see what else the year brings along.

Snowy Finland

It's been too long again. Sorry for the lack of updates.

We had a lovely but very quick trip to Finland.
It's always amazing to see how much snow there is and do all the winter outdoor sports.
It seems like there is never enough time to catch up with everyone and do all the things that we want.
Photography wise as well, I never have enough time to explore a bit more and get out further away.
Need to practise snow photography as well, I find it quite difficult to get the image I want.

Here is some images anyway from our only walk we managed to do, just near my home in Espoo.
